They are designed to be surface mounted in applications that may or may not require digital programming and a digital display. Hybrid KBAC & Digital KBDA NEMA 4X/IP 65 AC Drives provide variable speed control of standard 3 phase AC induction motors from 1/8 to 5 horsepower.
The VFD is enclosed in a Rugged Die-Cast Aluminum NEMA 4X/IP 65 Enclosure with Hinged Cover.

If a variable speed motor is what you desire then a VFD (Variable Frequency Drive) and a three phase motor is what you need to get there. A VFD converts single phase 110 or 220V from your house to Three phase power for your motor, a huge upside to a VFD is it can vary the frequency of the voltage with a knob which spins the motor faster or slower.
And as you all know going up in Grit size on your sanding belts means slowing them down so you dont wear them out in just a few seconds. I generally half the speed of my grinder when I go above 80 grit.
Our VFD can run off of 110v or 220v if you are running a 1.5HP motor.
We generally set them up for 110V when they leave the shop as we Pre-wire all VFD's for you before it leaves the shop.
So you will not need to ever open up the VFD if you purchase it from us, all you will need to do is run the wires coming out of the VFD to the motor and lastly plug in the VFD to a 110V plug and your off and running. No hiring an Electrician necessary. We will give very clear instructions on how to wire the motor.
While there is a Start/stop switch on this VFD, we also include a Master On/Off switch so you dont have to worry about Lightning getting your expensive VFD. We do this because thats how we do it in our shop, I cant see selling one of these to you without performing this easy mod to help save your VFD in the event of a storm.

VFD's are not compatible with GFCI outlets, If your 120 outlet is a GFCI or protected by a GFCI outlet you will need to replace it with a conventional one. Or have the VFD wired for 220V.
